Xolo’s much-anticipated Black smartphone has now been officially launched in the market. As expected, the smartphone costs Rs 12,999 and will be exclusively available via Flipkart starting July 13.
Xolo Black is 7.3mm thick and features a 5.5-inch full-HD OGS display with 1080p resolution and 401ppi pixel density. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 at the front as well as as the back. It also has a backlit power button that doubles up as a notification LED. It is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 (2nd generation) octa-core chipset paired with 2GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. It offers 16GB internal storage which can be further expanded to 32GB via a microUSB port.
On the camera front, it sports a dual-camera setup at the back with really fast focus (claims to focus on object in just 0.15 seconds) and Chromaflash. One rear camera boast a 13-megapiel sensor, while the other embeds a 2-megapixel sensor. With respect to the front camera, the Xolo Black sports a 5-megapixel front sensor with diffused flash. It packs a 3,200mAh battery with quick charge technology, and runs on the company’s Hive UI based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Connectivity wise, it includes dual-SIM support, LTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Apart from the unique camera, another significant new feature coming with the Xolo Black is the comet browser for Internet surfing. The company claims that the browser works 20 percent aster while saving up to 90 percent of your data.
