Apple’s iOS 8.4 is here with the new Apple Music service


As expected, Apple has now officially rolled out the iOS 8.4 for iPhones and iPads, which brings with itself the highly-anticipated Apple Music in 100 countries, including India.

The company is offering a three-month free trial service for users to test the service, post which one will have to pay for it. US subscribers will have to pay $9.99 per month or $14.99 per month for a family account. In India, subscribers will have to pay Rs 120 per month for individual accounts, while a family account (up to six members) is priced at Rs 190 per month.

The main feature of Apple Music is  a catalogue of millions of songs and music videos to stream on-demand, as well as a wide variety of programmed playlists created by its in-house team of editors, and by musicians. Apple Music has been specifically designed to tailor the needs of the user .

Another part of Apple Music is  a 24 hour  internet radio station called Beats  1 headed by former BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe

There’s another feature called Connect. It basically allows the  artists to upload music , photos  and messages  for their fans,  just like a blog to which the fans can subscribe to.
