OnePlus 2 to be announced on July 27, users can experience the launch via VR cardboard

OnePlus has announced that the company is all set to unveil its next flagship on July 27. But the more interesting news is that the launch of the OnePlus 2 smartphone will be the first mobile launch based on virtual reality.

The OnePlus 2 will be unveiled at 7PM Pacific Time on July 27, which would mean 7:30 AM on July 28 Indian Standard Time. OnePlus has even made its own cardboard VR headset, which it will start selling for free but it seems consumers will have to pay for shipping.

Earlier this month, OnePlus revealed that the OnePlus 2 will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chipset, and followed it up by revealing the OnePlus 2 would be the first smartphone with a USB Type-C connector. Going by the rumours, OnePlus 2 will have 3GB of RAM and could have a 16-megapixel rear, 5-megapixel front facing camera. The company has already announced that the price of the OnePlus 2 will be above $322.
