Microsoft Windows 10 for PCs and tablets arriving on July 29

Microsoft has just announced on it’s blog that the Windows 10 for PC and tablet is all set to arrive on July 29. The company will be offering Windows 10 as a free upgrade to PCs running on Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Windows 10 brings Cortana integration, the new Edge browser, a new Windows Store, Office 2016 suite, and redesigned Photos, Videos, Music, Maps, People, Mail and Calendar apps among other upgrades.

It also brings a new feature called Continuum Mode which is designed to help people who are using 2-in-1 computers. The service enables a user to quickly switch between desktop and tablet modes. For instance, as a user plugs out the keyboard/mouse from a hybrid computer, the device automatically detects the transition and shows off an option for on-screen keyboard, making the device quickly start working like a tablet.
