Sony today launched its Smartwatch 3 and SmartBand Talk in India for Rs 19,990 and Rs 12,990 respectively. Both of these will be available from today at all Sony Center stores, major electronic stores, and Sony’s online store in the country.

The SmartWatch 3, company’s first Android Wear watch, has a 1.6-inch 320×320 pixel LCD display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB RAM. Also featured are 4GB of internal storage, 420mAh battery and connectivity options like NFC and Bluetooth 4.0. The wearable device also has a built-in microphone, accelerometer, compass, Gyro and GPS sensor. Like the smartphones launched today, the smartwatch too is IP68 certified, making it resistant to water and dust.

The SmartBand Talk (SWR30), on the other hand, is essentially an upgrade to the SmartBand (SWR10). The fitness tracker records various fitness and health-related activities. Unlike its predecessor, the SmartBand Talk will also support voice calling when paired with a smartphone. It features a 1.4-inch e-ink display, a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 processor, 2MB of internal flash memory, a 70mAh battery, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and microUSB support. The device is also IP68 waterproof and dustproof certified, and is compatible with Android devices running on KitKat.
