Last year Google partnered with LG to make its Nexus 5. But this years Nexus 6 will be made by Motorola, and the first set of pictures as well specifications have been leaked online by 9to5Mac.
The publication reveals a 5.92-inch screen, with QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 and pixel density of 498ppi. The Motorola Shamu aka Nexus 6 will be powered by a Snapdragon 805 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, and will also include 32GB internal storage.
As for the camera, the report states that it’s actually going to be a 13-megapixel rear with the ability to shoot 4K UHD video. The device is going to have a 2-megapixel front-facing camera that is identical to the one on the second generation Moto X. Furthermore, the report states that the device is going to pack a 3,200mAh battery to power all of those pixels.
The publication also created an in-house mock up of the device, giving us an idea of what it could look like. The device seems to have its volume and lock buttons moved down just a bit in comparison to the Moto X, closer to the center of its side. Also like the new Moto X, the device has a familiar aluminum bezel and a camera that is almost identical in appearance. The report ends by saying that ‘this Nexus device, despite its similarities to Moto’s official line-up, will lack features like Moto Assist and Quick Capture.’
As mentioned above, Google is planning on quietly launching the next Nexus on the Play Store around Halloween, which falls on October 31.
