Toshiba unveils world’s first laptops with 4K displays


Toshiba has unveiled two new laptops at the CES with 15.6-inches displays. What is more interesting is that the displays of both of these laptops have 4K resolution, which is first in it’s kind.

The Tecra W50 has Nvidia’s Quadro K2100M GPU with 2GB dedicated memory and is targeted at graphics professionals and has been built in mind keep apps like AutoCAD and SolidWorks. The only other preliminary spec that has been revealed is it would run on Intel’s fourth-generation Core processor.

The other one is the Satellite P50t, which too has a 15.6-inch 4K display but comes in the touchscreen variety. Both the laptops will run on Windows 8.1 and will be launched sometime in mid-2014.
