LG’s Smart TV running on WebOS goes official at CES

LG today, after so many leaks and rumours, launched it’s first Smart TV running on WebOS.

As was seen in the leaks earlier, this new interface brings along the card-like interface with the icons placed horizontally at the bottom on the homescreen.

The new interface also eases toggling between apps, which makes its simpler for users to switch between apps without needing to close the current app. One can do so by choosing the cards placed in a line at the bottom. Along with that comes the company’s motion-enabled remote control, which helps in navigating the cursor on-screen.

The homepage also accommodates the earlier or last used apps arranged in a list of cards, as well as have other apps and LG’s very own app store.
LG has partnered with NetFlix for offering 4K content, and YouTube, Facebook, Hulu and others would be accessible as well.
