Asus launches Transformer Book Duet at the CES, has dual-boot

Asus has launched the Transformer Book Duet,  which  is a 4-in-1 dual-boot convertible tablet with laptop dock. The device runs on Windows 8.1 and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and can be converted to a laptop by simply docking it on the keyboard dock provided.

To switch between the two OSes, the device offers an instant single press key, and the company claims that the device would take 4 seconds to switch between the Android and Windows OSes.

The Transformer Book Duet is equipped with a 13.3-inch (1920x1080p) display tablet which can be used as a laptop by connecting it to a laptop dock. It is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal memory in tablet pumped up with 1TB of storage space in the laptop dock.

The Transformer Book Duet has the company’s SonicMaster technology and dual speakers on both sides of the tablet. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. With all these, it is estimated to run for up to 5 hours in Windows 8.1 mode and up to 6 hours in Android 4.2.2 mode.
There is no word on the availability of the Transformer Book Duet as of now, however the company has mentioned to start selling it at $599 (for the Intel Core i3 and 1366x768p resolution variant) and $699 for the 1080p display variant.
