Blackberry R10, the budget BB10 smartphone, leaked online

A couple of days back a photograph of a red BlackBerry phone with a QWERTY keypad leaked online which  was the R10, a cheaper alternative to the high-end Q10. Today, the folks at BBin have uncovered a new set of images as well as a list of specifications for the upcoming R10.

R10  which will run on BlackBerry 10.1 OS might  feature a 3.1-inch (720×720 pixels) display, a 5-megapxiel rear camera that can shoot HD photos, a rear camera, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a non-removable 1,800mAH battery.

R10 flaunts the same 720×720 pixels display and 2GB of RAM as the Q10, but R10 a 5-megapixel camera instead of the 8-megapixels on the Q10 and also a smaller 1,800mAH battery.

The R10 looks a bit plasticky and lacks. The keypad also does not has the top row buttons, which suggest that it will have a complete touchscreen based UI, just like the Q10 and  also  BlackBerry would launch it in multiple colors according to the picture that was leaked earlier.

R10 is expected to be announced at the company’s annual BlackBerry Live event, which kicks off in Florida next week.
